Bertie: Because it's winter here in Australia, we've been eating what we affectionately call Goop.
Oliver: I love goop!
Bertie: It's more warming than cold vegetables, and we get to have potatoes and lentils and things that need cooking.
Oliver: The potatoes are my favourite.
Bertie: here's the recipe, such as it is. We don't do measuring.
Goop Recipe
process in the food processor some or all of the following:
potato, sweet potato, carrots, broccoli, beans, spinach, beetroot, parsnip, any herbs, tiny bit of garlic
dump in a casserole dish
mix in two or three eggs (process the shells up small and put them in too), 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses, 1 tablespoon of linseed seeds, 1 tablespoon coconut oil, some lentils or split peas, or other kind of pulse, or pasta (if it doesn't make you itchy like Bertie)
Now pour in some water, or veggie stock or chicken stock, for the pulses or pasta to cook in, put the lid on and put in a moderate oven until you remember to take it out. About an hour or so.
Bertie: And that's it. You can't really muck up goop. We have it with raw turkey mince.
Oliver: Turkey Mince!
Bertie: And soon it will be summer, and we won't have goop. Instead we will have turkey mince with raw veggies and maybe some fruit.
